We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst.

This Senior Finance Analyst role is based in Newcastle under Lyme and is working for a global business. Working with the Financial Controller this role is key to ensuring the finances support the company's business strategy.

The main duties of the Senior Finance Analyst role are:
  • Providing meaningful internal financial information to support business strategy to Directors
  • Providing financial management information to key non-finance stakeholders
  • Working on long-term, strategic financial planning
  • Developing financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
  • Researching, analysing and preparing fiinancial business reports including stock movement, valuations, margin and rebate
  • Preparing cost projections and profit forecasts
  • Recruiting an Assistant Financial Analyst, managing their workload and overseeing their development
  • Overall management of credit facilities
  • Establish financial policies, legislative updates, internal controls, systems and processes
  • Ownership of non-UK VAT and EU Intrastat legislation, reporting and submissions

Ideally we are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst with the following experience:
  • Senior financial analysis and reporting experience is essential
  • A hands-on, collaborative people & project manager with experience of building capability & motivating to achieve results (including process design and implementation)
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent) with minimum 3 years' relevant experience
  • Solution-oriented and commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Up to date with accounting laws and regulations
  • Exceptional IT knowledge and Advanced Excel expertise - Vlookups, Pivot tables, IF statements
  • Experience in a commercial internal Finance position
  • experience of Credit Management & Invoice Finance preferable

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm
Salary: £44,000 - £48,000 per annum
