Due to continued growth and an several office takeovers my client are looking for proactive and resourceful payroll executive to manage their own portfolio of clients, offering hybrid working with a base in their newly refurbished modern offices in Chester offering market leading benefits, training and support!

Client Details

Our client is a well-known award winning accountancy firm based in the heart of Chester, they offer unrivalled service to their varied clients, ranging from director only to SME businesses. The payroll assistant will have the responsibility to manage their own personal clients payroll, which includes building important relationships and high attention to detail. Our client offer development, training and progression prospects to the right candidate. You will be working within a payroll team reporting directly to a supportive Payroll Team Leader based in Chester.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Payroll Executive include:

- Managing your own portfolio of clients payroll, ranging from teams of around 50 staff and director only accounts

- You will create and administer your own payroll accounts from the start for any new business clients

- You will process starter and leavers

- Maintain and develop your own client relationships, including any payroll queries

- Maintain accurate client records and all relevant information is up to date and compliant at all times

- Run month end and year end payroll procedures

- Adhere to your own personal clients requirements at all times to ensure the highest level of customer service is delivered at all times

Profile

The successful Payroll Executive will:

- Have run payroll processes from start to finish

- Extensive examples of client relationship building

- Proficient in Excel and able to pick up in-house system with ease

- Work well as part of a wider team and be flexible with holiday cover to look after colleagues accounts

- Work very independently and manage own time effectively

- Knowledgeable on latest legislation and auto-enrolment processes

- Very flexible approach to work with strong ability to work to tight deadlines within a busy department
