Job Description and Person Specification

Job Title:                    Assistant Manager

Qualification:            CA/ACA/ACCA Qualified - Preferred

Experience:             3 to 5 years working with a UK based accountancy firm

Salary/Package:       Competitive Market rate package (further details below)


We are an established professional Accountancy firm based in Islamabad providing outsourcing services to UK based accountancy firms.

Based at our offices in Naval Anchorage, Islamabad, you will become an integral part of our team and will work closely with UK based Client Managers and support them in delivering excellent client services.

You will have the opportunity to play a leading role in the development of the business including setting up appropriate systems, processes, and SOP’s.

Your working hours will be 11am – 8:00pm Pakistan time.


On offer is a market competitive salary ranging from Rs 100,000 to Rs 115,000 depending upon qualification and relevant experience. In addition to salary below benefits are part of the package;

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate, must have exceptional experience of:

  1. Leading a team to manage a portfolio independently from client relations to delivering accounts with limited guidance required from the Partners
  2. Training, developing, and supervising junior members of staff
  3. Ability to work on multiple assignments and prioritising workload
  4. Providing excellent customer service and managing internal and external relationships
  5. Excellent communication skills and technical accounting knowledge
  6. Solid experience of preparing statutory UK limited company accounts and CT600 returns
  7. Preparing sole trader/partnership accounts and tax returns
  8. Experience of preparing management accounts
  9. Overseeing the preparation of:
    1. CIS returns monthly/weekly payrolls and
    2. VAT Returns

Technical Skills / Knowledge

  • CA/ACA/ACCA Qualified - Preferred
  • Bachelors Degree or higher - Desirable (not essential)
  • 3 - 5 years years experience - Essential
  • Good knowledge of UK corporation tax, income tax and VAT and the impact on accounts and client’s overall affairs
  • Good knowledge of the statutory and technical aspects concerning a set of UK limited company accounts
  • Good knowledge of main accounting systems in the market place (eg Xero, Quickbooks. Sage etc)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH formulas)
  • Ability to work to deadlines and to be flexible as regards the hours and assignments worked
  • Ability to communicate openly and build up excellent relationships with clients


  • Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal)

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Performs well under pressure
