Senior Reporting Analyst

The senior developer of the Reporting Analysis Center of Excellence (RACE) team provides customer success service directly to the business through reporting and analysis across multiple department leaders and on a portfolio of investments to proactively identify pockets of risk. This position will provide reporting and analysis on Operations and Portfolio Management as well as be responsible for training team members on new tools such as Power BI.

Day to Day

  • Engages proactively with clients to understand business objectives and visualization or dashboard needs while documenting requirements.
  • Lead and mentor others on design implementation of visualizations and dashboards including understanding the required data sources.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team based environment.
  • Identifies, gathers and assesses information in order to conduct a robust reporting review
  • Manages reporting requirements gathering, team workflow, and analysis processes
  • Provide reporting for local office for various legal, regulatory, compliance, risk management, and program management initiatives
  • Proactively create reporting products that provide the business with insights that are aligned with senior leadership’s strategic initiatives and goals
  • Conversion of legacy system reports to new technologies.

Essentials

  • Bachelor’s degree with a preferred concentration in Business, Economics, Accounting, or IT discipline
  • 5+years of experience working in an IT/data analysis and reporting writing environment. Previous experience in equipment leasing, financial services or banking industry is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required to liaise effectively with management and business to provide a comfort level using tools promoting a self-service mindset.
  • Basic: database structures, data warehouse management, financial/accounting knowledge, advanced Excel skillset
  • Proficiency and experience with Hyperion and Power BI reporting tools
  • Ideal candidate has experience with implementation of these reporting tools
  • Azure Analytical Services skills essential
  • Reporting out of Azure resources: data lake, database, synapse
  • Mastery of SQL
  • Intermediate database administration experience
  • Ability to manage the prioritization of individual workload in accordance with reporting time periods and business impact
  • Requirements gathering in consultation with Business Owners and Subject Matter Experts (SME) with experience working in an agile (scrum preferred) development environment.
  • Proficient in understanding processes and creating efficiencies.
