Manager / Assistant Manager – Tax Compliance Services

Job Purpose

This role will lead a dynamic Tax Compliance team that will manage a complex portfolio of clients and will constantly develop working relationships with existing clients, prospects and external advisers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide HK tax compliance and advisory services for a variety of clients, including HK domestic and foreign corporations,
• Recognize the opportunities and key capabilities required to deliver high quality service to the clients
• Familiar with current tax legislation and keep abreast of new technical developments to clients and the team
• Assist the tax team to develop transfer pricing engagements based on relevant economic and accounting principles and their interplay with Transfer Pricing rules
• Deliver effective tax risk management and management of transaction from a tax perspective
• Develop and implement innovative ways to approach client needs - use research into client businesses to initiate new service and product offerings to clients
• Undertake business development activities and market tax services to clients, non-clients and other teams within the organization
• Work closely with other teams and sales team to develop new business
• Responsible for managing a team of executives and staff and provide appropriate training to them

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline with professional qualification (ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent)
• At least 6 - 8 years of experience with preferably in international accounting firms
• Strong and solid knowledge of tax with an understanding of international markets
• Experience in consulting on Transfer Pricing rules and preparation of the documentation
• Ability to develop client relationships and identify business opportunities participating in the development, marketing and implementation of tax services
• Proven ability to develop and manage people effectively through leadership, appropriate delegation, coaching and mentoring of staff
• Possess excellent communication and presentation skill
• Excellent command of both English and Cantonese is required
• Candidate with more experiences may be considered for the position of Tax Manager
