Finance Manager - Cork Your New Role Overview Working as a close advisor to the CFO and motivating a high achieving team to deliver all aspects of group financial management, internal controls and strategic finance initiatives. The successful candidate will be expected to step into a Financial Controller position in 12-18 months. Your New Company A niche software business that provides global support to a varied portfolio of blue chip clients. Your New Role Deliverables Reporting to the CFO, the successful individual will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of the group management reporting and compliance undertakings from a finance perspective. The role will require direct management of a small team of finance professionals whilst also providing key liasing with business counterparts both on site nationally and internationally. Some of the responsibilities are as follows: Preparation of month end close financial statements & foreign currency translation. Responsible for tax computations for site / returns e.g. Corporation tax, VAT, VIES / Intra-stat returns Liase with internal/external auditors and ensure compliance with all Corporate, Finance and Sarbanes Oxley policies, local legal and statutory requirements, taxation and customs authorities requirements. Co-ordination of area resources to deliver a quality and efficient support service in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury functions. Working with Treasury and Finance team on management of FX and cash management Responsible for driving a culture of Continuous Improvement Production of statutory accounts for the Group and its various subsidiary companies as and when required in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and the legislation of the countries in which they operate Contributing to liaising with external parties - private equity backers, bankers, legal advisors, auditors, insurers, etc. Your Background You will ideally be a qualified accountant, having trained in a reputable professional environment with exposure to technical accounting aspects and with post qualification experience in an environment where you were experienced with many of the above responsibilities also. Some key specifications you should have: Qualified accountant with relevant post qualification experience (minimum 3+ years) People management experience Proficiency in IFRS statutory reporting conditions Strong Excel and systems experience. Ability to build models, macros etc. Experience in strategic projects around operational efficiency and savings Exposure to ERP systems an advantage Ability to work to and meet deadlines Your Reward Whilst working with a leading success story in the software space this company is very tightly knit in terms of culture.
