My client is a multinational organisation with its financial SSC based in Cork. They now have a vacancy for a Senior Finance Manager Credit & Collections. Manage centralised billing, credit, collections and cash applications for all North America and EMEA facilities along with some Latin America and Asia Pacific entities Drive process improvements through setting targets for key metrics and implementing more efficient tools Analyse receivables aging, identify credit risks/trends, and propose solutions that will minimise credit exposure through effective credit structuring Manage processes for assessment and extension of credit, collection of receivables, application of cash received and AR/DSO forecasting Prepare and review reports on the status of credit and collections matters with senior management Actively manage and develop the team through setting challenging goals and maintaining accountability in order to meet companywide objectives Establish goals and monitor key performance metrics to measure the quality and efficiency of the invoicing, credit and collection processes Develop relationships with sales, accounting, legal and other departments in order to provide transparency into the collection processes as well as consistently enhance the overall quality of the collection process Responsible for team development, assigning and directing work, setting objectives, performance management and other managerial tasks Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company's policies & procedures. Work with internal and external auditors and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all audit deliverables Background & Experience: The candidate we seek will be an experienced leader with a fundamental understanding of what it takes to create and lead multi-country Accounts Receivable processes in a Shared Services environment within a multi-national corporation. The candidate will have at least 7-10 years management experience and will have held a senior management position in a similar organisation operating in several major countries globally with a proven ability to perform strategic planning and priority setting for the accounts receivable department. The candidate will have significant system experience in the billing, collection and cash application areas and strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate direct reports and demonstrate strong, effective people management skills. In addition, the person will require the ability to quickly establish credibility with and influence diverse audiences at multiple levels within the organization. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. An additional European language or languages would be beneficial. Ability to travel is a must. Strong basic salary plus car allowance plus pension plus health care are offered with this position.
