Financial Analyst - French speaker

Duties will include:

• The production and management of accounts work within the Financial Accounts department, including accounts preparation for a number of subsidiaries.
• Contributing to the effectiveness of the financial accounting team through identification of areas for continuous improvement, providing input and information to achieve problem resolution.
• Assist in the production of monthly accounts for a number of Companies within the business - US GAAP reporting.
• The review of balance sheet account analyses on a monthly basis.
• Assist in the production of quarterly and year end accounts, liaison with auditors thereon. Ensuring US reporting requirements met.
• Aid where necessary in statutory accounts production.
• Completion of certain taxation matters, corporate and VAT (including intrastat),
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts, to provide up to date information to the Board and senior management for strategic planning,
• Production of monthly management information to aid management review and planning.
• Responsibility for Fixed Assets for relevant Claires entities.
• Ensure all SOX requirements through the business are complied with Involvement in developing and enhancing business control systems Liaise with US Group company.
• Provide assistance to European Financial Accounting Manager and the Finance Team as required.
• Assist in specific Project work.
• Production of ad hoc information and analysis when required.

Qualifications required:

• Either part-qualified studying either AAT, CIMA or ACCA, or have accounting experience.

OR

• Degree 2:1 or above (desirable if not part qualified).

Skills required:

• You will need to speak conversational French (and English).
• Advanced excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience of Oracle Financials (desirable).
• Knowledge of US GAAP (desirable).

Other information:

The working hours are flexible, either 8am - 4.30pm, or 9am - 5.30pm. This is a hybrid role, working 2/3 days in the office and the rest homebased. There is free on-site parking available. Please note the salary is completive and will be discussed at interview.
