You'll be working directly with the Senior Finance Manager and will therefore be exposed to many different tasks and responsibilities such as managing the general ledger, monitoring the expense process and intercompany transactions. The role has scope to develop into a management accountant role so this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress within a growing company and really add value to the company as a whole.

Client Details

My client is a renewable energy specialists providing engineering services by generating power via wind, PV solar and storage projects. Although a relatively new company, my client has excelled and are looking to expand their team now and further plans to grow the finance team in the future.

Description

The key responsibilities of this role includes:

  • End-to-end accounts payable processes, including payment runs, invoice processing and issuance, reviews, invoice approvals, answering supplier queries etc.
  • Prepare and monitor expenses process
  • Preparation of invoices and follow-up of payment
  • Monitor and process monthly intercompany transactions
  • Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide ad-hoc general accounting assistance to the Finance Director and external accountants
  • Assist the UK Financial Controller in dealing with audit and due diligence queries

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • 1-2 years' experience in an accounting role
  • Experience using Xero software (preferred)
  • Intermediate Excel skills - Sumifs, Pivot Tables, Vlookups
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Team player but also able to take own initiative when needed
  • Very good communication skills
