Our large-scale international technology client is seeking a skilled and proactive fully qualified accountant to take on an exciting UK Controller position within their established team.
Description
The UK Controller will lead on a broad range of activities including leading the monthly reporting cycle for the UK, preparation and delivery of UK statutory accounts, efficiency improvements, international tax deliverables and playing a pivotal role in implementing a new finance system, in addition to numerous other ad-hoc projects.
Main Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of IFRS consolidated statutory accounts including support of the Audit (Working closely with the company's external auditor)
- Support statutory reporting group to complete and file UK statutory accounts
- Support statutory compliance requirements
- Support local accounting and bridging between local accounts and group accounts
- Contact person for finance operation functions with other accounting shared services: AP, Payroll, Revenue, Tax
- Review and reconciliation of UK balance sheets
- GL ownership for UK legal entities - ongoing and at period close
- Support other GL activities and projects as required
Profile
We are inviting applications from individuals with the following skills and attributes:
- Fully qualified with post-qualification experience
- Practice background with some experience working in industry (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Strong IT skills, with specific expertise using Excel.
- Experience with Oracle or other ERP Applications would be advantageous
- Proactive "can-do" attitude and sets high standards
- Commitment to quality in all aspects of work
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines
