Job Description

The successful candidate, in the role as a Senior Associate in KPMG's Oman Corporate Tax team will help clients on their corporate tax and international tax matters.

Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality Oman corporate and international tax services on a broad range of tax issues to a portfolio of clients
- Assist clients with tax computations, returns, registrations, deferred and current tax workings, withholding tax and advices on transactions from a tax perspective
- Assist client with representation before the tax authorities and proactively managing disputes most productively
- Assisting clients in understanding their privilege, possible tax litigation alternatives, as well as the activities needed to resolve their disputes
- Maintain, develops, and manage KPMG's strong relationships with clients
- Assist in developing innovative solutions and opportunities for our clients
- Assist in business development initiatives
- Analyze problems, identifies core issues, investigate, evaluate, and integrate information
- Monitors and upholds high-quality service and products to clients (internal and external)
- Work closely with managers, senior managers, directors and partners who will provide support and opportunities to assist you in realizing your full potential
- Identify areas for development and proactively seek opportunities for greater responsibility to increase skill set and build on existing strengths
- Enhance KPMG's reputation in the market by delivering high-quality engagement work and project management, showing great attention to detail, and always managing risk
Experience and Background
- 1-3 years of experience in corporate and international tax, either in a Big 4 or consulting firms
- Chartered Accountant / ACCA or similar qualification with strong academic background
- Ability to work on a range of projects simultaneously
- Personal drive and integrity to deliver results
- Commitment to high-quality standards and a detail-oriented approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to build and develop strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
