Our partner, a rapidly growing organisation in the climate space, is seeking a Senior Grants Officer. You will be joining the organisation at an exciting time; on the back of the rapid growth they are experiencing, they are going through a transformation process. The successful candidate will be part of the grants team, and support in the management of a portfolio of government and philanthropic grants.
Responsibilities
- Support in the development of budgets and narratives for project proposals.
- Review new grants and contracts, working with the programmes and finance teams to ensure that there are proper processes in place to properly manage and track the grants.
- Work with the programmes team on grants compliance – conducting training for staff in country offices and implementing partners to ensure grants requirements are understood; and supporting them regularly to ensure that these are adhered to.
- Supporting the programmes teams in developing financial and narratives for grants, and coordinating and delivering grants reports on time.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience of managing grants and contracts from institutional donors, philanthropists, trusts and foundations, preferably within a growing INGO.
- Strong business partner, able to work with fundraising, programmes and finance teams on full grant cycle management – including bid/proposal development, compliance, analysis and reporting.
- Advanced MSExcel skills
- Strong written (report writing) and oral communication skills.
- Able to build and maintain effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexible, able to work effectively in a growing organisation.
This role is UK-based, but offers flexible work arrangements. The role is only open to candidates with the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
