We're currently looking for a Business Development Manager on a full time, permanent basis. This position sits within the Employer Relationships team, in our ACCA Singapore Office.
The job
Reporting to the Country Manager, ACCA Singapore, on a day-to-day basis, you'll be involved in the following:
Building and developing commercial relationships with industry, partner employers, recruitment agencies, technology partners and government agencies, in order to build ACCA's brand and reputation, deepen our engagement and further ACCA's strategic and growth objectives.
Manage employer relationships in a number of specified sectors, or categories. The role is responsible for managing existing partner relationships whilst also finding new commercially focused business.
Supports the Country manager and contributes to the development of the business development plan for the market, ensuring that it reflects members and employers needs and market conditions
Identifies and progresses opportunities to grow ACCA's business through employer partnerships ensuring a clear and mutually beneficial value proposition
Works with relevant internal stakeholders to develop and deliver a plan of business development activity for designated employers, including sharing of professional insights, commercial arrangements for ACCA Learning, and leveraging opportunities to increase visibility of the ACCA brand and products
Works with partners to ensure that global solutions, content and expertise are leveraged and consistently implemented
Communicates changes to the ACCA qualification, products and services to employers in order to build advocacy
Ensures employers are supported with ACCA processes including accreditation in order to develop engagement and improve performance
The Person
We're looking for someone who;
Is educated to at least a degree level or equivalent
Demonstrable experience in business development and business-to-business selling, ideally in a professional service or education environment
Knowledge of business development frameworks, processes and techniques
Understanding of accountancy and local regulatory frameworks is desirable
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build long term, high quality, trusted relationships up to and including board level
Skilled networker and prospector with strong influencing and negotiation skills
Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic
Able to plan, manage and work on own initiative to deliver results within strict deadlines and agreed budgets
Commercially orientated and results driven with a track record of successful delivery
