The Private Equity department has been based in Limerick since 2007. Our clients include some of the most successful Private Equity houses globally. We use best-in-breed systems and cutting-edge technology to deliver excellent service to our clients. Recently Northern Trust was named Global Private Equity Fund Administrator of the Year by the Global Investor Group.
This is an opportunity for an individual who is proficient in accounting and excellent client service delivery to work on and lead the fund administration function including Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, Transfer Agency & Custody for a range of Private Equity funds within a team.
The incumbent will be responsible for leading a team to achieve deliverables assigned to them by the client and department management to a level synonymous with existing standards of the department.
Technical Private Equity & Real estate induction, on-boarding & functional training provided, complimented with ongoing practical coaching.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Analyze the valuations prepared for Private Equity Funds by team members and provide timely and accurate feedback
- Lead team members with the preparation of the interim and annual Financial Statements for PE Funds
- Ensure the timely preparation/review of ancillary tasks including but not limited to - Payment of all fees associated with the PE funds & associated taxes such as PAYE/PRSI, VAT returns
- Deliver and drive a high-quality service to clients through facilitating and promoting accurate, timely completion of all assigned tasks and requests for information within the team.
- To complete the periodic client service call process including meeting set up, agenda setting, minutes, logs and action point documentation and administration
- Ensure that operational procedures and checklists are followed and accurately completed by the team
- Promote and oversee the timely and accurate update of any checklists and procedures on a cyclical basis and as the need arises
- Anticipate client needs where possible and foster a proactive ethos within the team
- Provide support in the preparation of and review any group, board or ad hoc reporting required internally or by clients.
Skills/ Qualifications:
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
- Part qualified or Qualified Accounting
- Relevant experience in the accountancy profession or in the fund industry in a valuations / fund accounting / financial reporting role
- Excellent Decision-making ability
- Excellent PC Skills: - Word & Excel
- Good organisational, planning and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of financial reporting and investment accounting knowledge
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
