Our partner, a rapidly growing organisation in the climate space, is seeking an FP&A Analyst to act as a business partner with the grants management team. The FP&A function is newly created within the finance team, and they are seeking a candidate with strong commercial acumen.

You will be joining the organisation at an exciting time; on the back of the rapid growth they are experiencing, they are going through a transformation process, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the process of shaping processes and controls within the grants team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop budgets and financial models for grants proposals and bids, ensuring that these are developed on a cost recovery basis.
  • Provide grants specific input to the wider finance transformation project, supporting in developing processes and ensuring that these are properly documented and understood.
  • Act as a business partner to the fundraising and grants management team, supporting in their annual budgeting and forecasting process, and in helping them understand monthly results and budget versus actual variances.
  • Undertake analysis of individual grants and of overall grants performance.

Requirements

  • Accountant, with a strong background in FP&A covering budget development, monitoring and forecasting; the analysis of financial information; and an understanding of grants accounting.
  • Experience of developing budgets for complex international grants and sub grants for a range of institutional donors, corporate donors and trusts and foundations.
  • Advanced Excel and modelling skills.
  • Comfortable working through a period of growth and change, and in developing and documenting processes and tools.
  • Organised, able to manage a varied workload and tight deadlines.

This role is only open to candidates with the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship. This role offers Hybrid working with the individual excepted to be in the office in London one day/week. Flexible work arrangements can be offered.
