What’s the role?

The key responsibility of the role is to provide decision making support to Business, Engineering & Supply Chain and Finance Community by providing them with insightful analysis and Management Information.

Key responsibility includes:

• Prepare and coordinate monthly financial performance analysis for the Global Lubricants Leadership team.
• Appraisal of business performance including cost management against Plan and Latest Estimates, provide insights for business decision support.
• Participate in the annual business planning exercise, partner with Business, Regional and Downstream PAR stakeholders in building a credible and ambitious plan.
• Support Quarterly Business Appraisal, participate in the preparation of appraisal packs and liaison with Regional PARs in producing quality analysis to support EVP/ VP reviews.
• Support projects, strategic analysis, and ad-hoc analysis support, including benchmarking exercise.

Stakeholder management:

1. Proactively manages relationships with Lubes Business Partners.
2. Primary focal for monthly consolidated performance appraisal with DSPAR, Margins and Cash Flow appraisal focal point and the coordinator for global survey.
3. Manage wider stakeholders with Regional Lubricants PARs, Finance Processes, Controllers & Group reporting.
4. Support senior business partners in projects and ad-hoc analysis.

Skills and Requirements:

Finance graduate with a Professional degree in Finance/semi-qualified professionals with 8+ years of experience in Accounting, MI & Reporting, Budgeting & Financial modelling. Proven effective engagement and influencing skills. Applicants are required to possess strong knowledge and prior work experiences in the area of business Planning and Appraisal.

Special challenges:

• Provide quality finance support while building and maintaining a network of effective relationships with business teams, local and global finance, controllers and other relevant partners.
• Ability & desire to challenge and question current practices to ensure best fit delivery of robust MI.
• Working effectively in a virtual environment and manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
• Act as SME & coordinator for Global Lubes internal reporting tools (Ie. LAMP), ability to support the Global Lubricants R&A community on upskilling exercise where required.
• Work effectively across different levels in the organization, and able to handle complex scenario leading to agreed solution.
• Strong commercial acumen, with ability to provide insightful analysis and narratives to help business leaders in decision support.
