With more than 320 years of heritage across our family brands, the Retail Bank at Lloyds Banking Group serves and supports the evolving needs of people across the UK with a broad range of financial services including current accounts, mortgages, savings, credit cards, motor finance and personal loans.
Lloyds Banking Group includes some of the most iconic UK brands, such as Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Scottish Widows amongst others. In our UK home market we are the largest digital bank, with over 18 million digitally active customers, we have the largest branch network and we are the largest mortgage lender.
Retail Finance & Data Management (RFDM) provides decision support and reporting and performance management to these Retail businesses. Within the RFDM family, we in Analysis & Insight are a team of around 100 finance colleagues providing the analytical and planning capability that supports all Retail businesses, from income-generating products to the full cost base (branches, customer services and a host of other areas).
The bank is just embarking on a new and exciting growth strategy, and Analysis & Insight is playing a meaningful role in analysing, articulating and challenging business plans over their lifecycle from idea through to implementation. To do that we need to expand our team, and to find a pipeline of analytical finance people to be part of our journey. We believe we can best support our businesses by drawing on a wide range of views and perspectives and are therefore keen to build a diverse team that supports our colleagues' different and changing needs. We offer challenging roles in a number of UK locations, not just London, and this might be just the thing you've been looking for.
Those of you who join us will have a real opportunity to influence the bank of the future, as well as supporting existing businesses deliver their objectives.

About the role...
This role is looking for an individual to join our Transport Finance A&I team.
The Transport team comprises 2 main businesses, Black Horse (primarily consumer financing) and Lex Autloease (commercial and personal leasing). We are growing our Transport business, having recently acquired Tusker, a vehicle management and leasing company focused on electric and low emission vehicles which supports the Groups sustainability ambitions and 2030 Transport target.
There has been a huge amount of change in the Motor Industry with changing customer behaviours influencing how customers gain access to finance vehicles, how they use vehicles and of course the green agenda to switch to electric vehicles with the UK Governments target to cease production of petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030. This is a great opportunity to work with the Transport Business and our strategic partners, including Jaguar Land Rover and Tesla, to navigate our way through these changes and influence the shape of the Business going forward.
Within our Finance team you will gain a deep understanding of products, its business, its people, and its processes. You could be developing business plans and financial forecasts, undertaking deep dives into performance issues, assessing new product propositions, or answering other ad hoc questions. You'll interact directly with and influence finance business partners, often colleagues in the business and the wider Finance function including Divisional Finance colleagues and Group Corporate Treasury (GCT).
What we're looking for...
We're looking for people to join the team who love to solve problems - people who are bold, creative, and naturally curious will thrive. Taking ownership and working collaboratively are capabilities that we value highly as are commerciality and effective communication skills. You'll have a high degree of numeracy, analytical skills, and an understanding of financials. Having a financial qualification, or proactively working towards one, is considered beneficial but not essential, however you will need relevant finance experience.
We believe that broadening and deepening our team's skills and experience benefits both us and our colleagues, and so champion the continuous development of every member of the team. Our rotation policy within the broader A&I finance team supports the growth of new skills and building of new knowledge, so you'll have the opportunity to move into other teams in due course. We also have other development streams that develop skills that we'll need in the future, such as data exploitation and use of emerging technology alongside soft skills.
There is a thriving RF&DM community that operates around our hubs, and everyone has the opportunity to get involved in our People agenda. That will extend your LBG network and give you a chance to make a difference to the wider team.
The team is based in a number of UK hubs, and we're used to working in multi-location teams. As such choice of hub really doesn't matter to us - we want to recruit the best people and don't want location to be a limiting factor. We have a hybrid working style, and you'll find us in the office two days a week.
Please note, while this advert is specifically within Transport Finance A&I, strong candidates will also be considered for other vacancies within the broader Finance A&I centre of excellence.
