Your Role and Responsibilities
This position resides in Markham, ON and is a 16 month work term commencing in May 2023. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work-term.

Db2 Deployment team is seeking an IBM candidate to join our quality assurance team in our Markham software lab. This is your opportunity to dive into the world of automation, and validation of Db2 installation in variety of platforms and OSes. You'll be part of a team of programmers working on leading edge technology that is solving some of the world's most complex problems and supporting deployment of Db2.
With our mentorship, you'll be tasked with learning new emerging technology skills related to DevOps - the critical set of practices that supports our efforts to build and deliver quality code into production. You'll be involved in writing automated systems in support of key functions, such as pipelines for building and testing code, machine provisioning and configuration.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Passion for technology.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Self-reliant and collaborative.
  • Familiar with programming concepts
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts.
  • Must be eligible to work 16 months starting in May


Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Experience with Python, Ruby or an equivalent programming language and JSON.
  • Experience with any of the following : Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Linux systems.
  • Experience with C/C++ Programming
  • Registered in a formal co-op/internship program

This role will involve working with technology that is covered by Export Regulations sanctions.
