We are looking for a Chief Accounting Officer to manage finance operations on the newly created Telemecanique Sensor company in Spain (Barcelona). The scope will embrace Iberia and business export flows to MEA and South Am customers.
As head of local finance in the newly created entity, manage accounting, finance and audit tasks to achieve compliance with laws and internal instructions
Work alongside the regional CFO and Country management to support and secure financial operations
What will you do?
monitor the general/sub ledger accounting

- Overview of the job:
As head of local finance in the newly created entity, manage accounting, finance and audit tasks to achieve compliance with laws and internal instructions
Work alongside the regional CFO and Country management to support and secure financial operations
What will you do?
- Main responsibilities
- Financial analysis and budgeting: prepare financial statements and reports on current company financial position. Direct a monthly closing procedures. Review & consolidate balance sheet elements
- Tax compliance: maintains conformity to all local and corporate laws and policies. Ensure tax filing.
- Ensure controls are embedded locally for internal / external audit
- Manage operations with accountant pool or external accounting firm to perform
monitor the general/sub ledger accounting
- Handle local Credit collection, analyze risk and manage exposure to customer credit, in relation with Corporate Credit Manager
- Treasury: Manages and analyzes financial operations including cash flow generation for a country. prepare paiements cash out and validation.
What are we looking for?
- Experience
Various accounting positions in accounting & audit, with at least 5 years in senior accounting
- Education level - master degree in accounting - CMA / CPA -
- Language: Spanish, English, a 3rd language would be of benefit: French or German
- Skills:
- IT: SAP ledgers, advanced Excel
- Technical accounting skills
- Soft skills: Business acumen, Communication skills with a large range of internal / external support functions (audit firms, legal, business), personal development ambitions, agile and reactive, ownership- and achievement-oriented.
