£70,000- £80,000 + bonus

Network HR have been retained to appoint a Payroll Manager for a private equity backed Retail organisation. Initially, this role will be integral in implementing outsourced payroll, in conjunction with a new combined Time & Attendance and Payroll operations system across the UK. This implementation will be scoped in such a manner that it will be jurisdictionally and geographically agnostic and have capabilities to work in a number of European markets.

The Payroll Manager's role will be a key member of a project task force that is responsible for managing cost, schedule, scope and the outsourced partner. ln addition to implementation, this Payroll Manager will be responsible for creating regionalised payroll processes that align with GDPR and country specific regulations, corporate accounting requirements as well as local/regional business needs. Longer term, this role will grow and mature the newly implemented payroll and timekeeping process to be an efficient and successful function that is reliable and compliant. The responsibilities will evolve into a key management role, that manages the outsourced payroll provider as well providing hands on support on technical issues.

During this change, the Payroll Manager will be responsible for taking charge of all Payroll operations in a BAU setting, including processing payroll of c.5,000 staff in the UK, onboarding their newly acquired practices and overseeing a team of 7 Payroll administrators.

What you will need:

• Proven experience of UK payrolls in a large, multisite sector
• Experience of Payroll projects with a third part provider
• Excellent attention to detail
• TUPE payroll experience is desirable
• A relaxed, professional and enjoyable personality style that would complement the business dynamic
