Job Description

Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Treasury APAC is responsible for evaluating CIB Asia's balance sheets. With the aim to optimize businesses' strategy in the context of both Legal Entity and Firm balance sheet with respect to liquidity, capital, leverage and regulatory constraints. As a VP of the team, you will partner with Corporate Treasury to develop strategy for deployment of CIB's balance sheet and monitors compliance with the Firm's targets.

An in-depth knowledge of the businesses' products, customers, behaviors, trends and strategies, as well as interest rate risks, are paramount to the effectiveness of the team.

The CIB Treasury APAC team is seeking someone to lead a broad array of initiatives, listed below. We offer training opportunities to develop both personal and professional skills, and the role has possibility for increased responsibilities and seniority.

Job responsibilities
  • Scarce financial resource management of APAC balance sheets
  • Evaluate liquidity and capital impacts of new business initiatives, and formulation of cost allocation approach for scarce resource utilization
  • Manage multiple projects
  • Partner with CIB Markets and Banking businesses, Treasury and Senior Country Business Managers to drive APAC legal entity balance sheet optimization and achieve targets for respective legal entity
  • Support business strategy in APAC Legal Entities by analyzing the liquidity, funding, shareholder value impact of new initiatives
  • Work closely with CIB Business, Corporate Treasury and Liquidity Risk to update or develop liquidity stress methodology to reflect Asia product features and requirement in managing Legal Entity liquidity
  • Development and mentoring of junior team members

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a financial institution
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Business or other related discipline
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, data and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational communication and presentation skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Knowledge of (US bank specific) liquidity risk concepts
  • Knowledge of accounting, short-term fixed income markets, legal entity structures, or previous Treasury experience
  • Familiarity with risk management or trading platforms
