With a turnover in excess of $500m the business specialise in live and filmed entertainment, endorsements and sponsorship, media, fashion, digital media and publishing. Due to the growth the business has recently appointed a new CFO who is leading a Transformation process to build a very high-calibre and capable finance department.

Description

The Financial Controller will be responsible:

• Leading the day to day Financial & Management Accounting function
• Lead, mentor and develop the team
• Lead all period end close accounting (Month, Quarter, Year)
• Oversee preparation of all monthly management reporting
• Oversee all Balance Sheet and Ledger reconciliations
• Bank and Cash-flow forecasting including FX
• Assist with the group year end audit
• Implement and maintain financial control framework
• Review contracts and revenue recognition
• Identify transformation and change opportunities
• Ad-hoc projects

Profile

The successful Financial Controller will be:

• A fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with 5+ years post qualified experience
• Strong technical finance skills developed in a similar role or accounting practice
• UKGAAP and USGAAP
• Strong analytic skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Prior people management experience is essential
• Media/Entertainment sector experience is desirable

Job Offer

The Financial Controller position comes with a base salary of circa £80,000-£100,000, discretionary company performance bonus.
