Accounts Administrator role in Guildford -

The role is to work within the Accounts Administration team, undertaking key AP/AR processes for multiple companies, ensuring data entered in the system is accurate, enabling accurate and speedy reporting by the Management Accountants.

Our client, the largest producer of biomethane in the UK, are hiring for an Accounts Administrator to come on board on a permanent basis within their Accountancy tea

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Purchase Ledger processes for the assigned companies
    • Processing Purchase invoices
    • Supplier statement reconciliation
    • Preparing payment runs and ad hoc payments as required
    • Issue remittances and posting of payment journals
    • Communicating with the stakeholders and suppliers
    • Adherence to company policy and processes
  • Sales Ledger processes for the assigned companies
  • Processing sales invoices
  • Credit Control
  • Customer statements
  • Posting cash receipt journals
  • Adherence to company policy and processes
  • Assisting with Employee expenses and purchasing cards
  • Checking and processing of both within the system
  • Creating fortnightly Expenses payment runs
  • Adherence to company policy and processes
  • Other Ad Hoc duties
  • Manage the Accounts inbox
  • Weekly bank reconciliations
  • Standard month/year end processes
  • VAT returns using MTD
  • Providing cover to other Team members during holidays and sickness
  • Additional Admin work as requested by the Accounts Manager

Profile

Ideally the successful candidate will have:

  • 2 years Accounts Payable experience
  • Strong team player with a drive to succeed
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation of workload ensuring deadlines are met
  • First rate communication skills both in the written and verbal form and confident in working with staff on all levels of the organisation
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team.

Preferable:

  • Knowledge of VAT returns using MTD
  • Knowledge of Power Query reports
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics
