Description

Accounting and Operations

  • Direct and oversee the finance and accounting functions of the Company in accordance with accepted accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish strong financial processes to support the business operations.
  • Oversee preparation of timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee annual statutory audit planning process.
  • Develop processes to ensure tax optimization and compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems for accounting, reporting and cash management to meet the operational requirements of the Company.
  • Implement a suitable ERP system to support the various business and financial processes in the construction organization.

Financial Planning & Budgeting

  • Develop financial strategy and performance measures to support Company's strategic directions.
  • Manage processes for budgetary control, financial forecasting, and reporting for the Company.
  • Provide timely updates and analysis of company performance to Management, Shareholder and Board of Directors.

Treasury, Corporate Finance and Project Financing

  • Develop processes and reporting mechanisms for reliable cash flow projections to meet the requirements of the current stage of the business.
  • Prepare mid to long range cashflow projections to ensure an efficient cash call process with Lenders and Shareholders.
  • Always monitor compliance with loan covenants and undertakings.
  • Ensure timely reporting to lenders as required by loan agreements.
  • Maintain banking relationships and engage lenders where required.


Enterprise Risk Management

  • Review and understand the Company's risk profile, risk tolerance and risk policies and design, implement, maintain and monitor an appropriate risk management framework and internal control systems to mitigate the significant risks facing the Company.

Internal Controls, Compliance and Governance

  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures and systems of internal controls to safeguard Company's financial assets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting and reporting standards and requirements, generally accepted accounting practices and ensuring the integrity of financial and tax reporting.
  • Establish a good Corporate Governance framework to ensure certain critical policies like fraud risk management and whistleblowing policies are implemented.

Profile

  • Coming into the position already has prior actual experience in all those areas covered above.
  • A candidate would need to have at least between 15-20 years of working experience in the relevant areas to gain proficiency to cover the scope in this job description.
  • Experienced in interact with other related divisions of the organization in order to implement strong internal control and good corporate governance of the company.
  • Proven track record engaging with many nationalities working on the implementation of the construction of the project.
  • Able to appreciate the diversity of such an organization and establish efficient financial processes across the various departments in the organization.
