As part of the Global Shared Service Centre (SSC) of Wilmar, we are looking for dynamic, customer service and quality minded team player to join our SSC continuous expansion in 2023. The position provides an opportunity to widely increase your accounting knowledge and expertise working for a well-known, fast growing SSC of a Fortune 500 company.


  • Oversee end to end general ledger activities, inclusive of journals, allocations, inventory valuations and adjustments, period end closing activities
  • Perform financial statement review and analysis, balance sheet reconciliation review and follow up open items/ issues for closure
  • Review vendor and customer master data creation/ update/ deletion when required
  • Troubleshoot issues with close and reporting
  • Take the lead in issue resolution in operational matters and internal customer management
  • Ensure adequate resource planning to maintain service levels in accordance with SLA
  • Develop and manage team goals, work schedules and activities, back up procedures and staffing requirements to ensure coverage at all times
  • Lead, motivate and develop team members within the wider process team ensuring the team operates to the highest standard of financial controls, compliance and best practices 
  • Propose and execute on people development initiatives for team members
  • Lead and proactively identify, recommend and implement solutions for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Work with Transition team to ensure the successful transfer of activities for service countries, for instance process documentation, knowledge transfer, job shadowing and training delivery to up skill new hires
  • Subject matter expert on GL processes with deep understanding on how the accounting is implemented and automated, together with all interdependencies with sub-ledgers


  • Possess Degree from a recognized university in Accounting/Finance/completed professional qualification (ACCA/ CPA) or equivalent
  • At least 5 years working experience in Shared service centre General Ledger function, or audit experience
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory or team management experience
  • Flexible to work different time zone (1-10 pm; 5am-2pm) 
  • Working experience with SAP is required
  • Experience in Shared Service Centre or Business Process Outsourcing engagement preferred
