Finance Manager

This is an interesting and varied Finance Manager post for a company based in Reading. They require someone to not only come in and manage a team of 2 but also to ensure that the accounts function is running smoothly. You will have free reign to implement and drive the team and department as you see fit.

Description

The main duties of the Finance Manager will be to:

• Support and management of a team of 2 Accounts Assistants
• Analysing and auditing financial reports, maintaining financial records and implementing financial reporting systems on a monthly and yearly basis
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
• Month and end-year
• Process Accounts payable/receivable
• Cash receipts
• General ledger
• Budgeting and cash forecasting
• Revenue and expenditure
• Variance analysis
• Company assets reconciliations
• Dealing with paying creditors and debtors
• Customer and Supplier account reconciliations
• Maintaining, preparing and submitting VAT returns, annual returns and PAYE Tax

Profile

The ideal Finance Manager candidate will be someone who has taken charge of a small team previously, is able to take ownership of not only the daily transactional work but also the month end reporting deadlines whilst overseeing the workload of two other people.
