We are searching for our client, a multinational company, leader in trade credit insurances, a candidate willing to evolve in a new field. 

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ( Record to Report)

 

Based in Bucharest ( hybrid working)  the role  refers to:

The R2R Senior Accountant will prepare all necessary monthly reconciliations, complete monthly accounting, follow up on all items existing on the assigned GL accounts, provide monthly reports to management and preparation of financial statements. 

 

The job holder:

  • Executes reconciliations (suspense accounts, foreign exchange movements) and ensures that all necessary controls are in place.

  • Completes monthly accounting for areas such as VAT, pensions, brokerage, expenses, fixed assets, salary bookings, SAP batches and other accruals.

  • Follows up on all items existing on the assigned GL accounts

  • Provides monthly reports to management and preparation of financial statements, correctly and in terms indicated.

  • Completes all monthly IFRS financial reporting requirements to the Group parent company to required deadlines.

  • Contributes to year-end audit, give the requested explanations and other external reporting requirements.

  • Pro-actively makes recommendations to improve and develop the controls within, and output of, the financial accounting & reporting team.

  • Runs cost allocation cycle and pro-actively make recommendations to improve efficiency.

  • Acts as interface with local OEs to support the monthly analysis of P&L; perform monthly 78* accounts reconciliation.

  • Transfers and delivers general accounting (IFRS / BE-GAAP) entries and reporting requirements for BUs in scope. Also consolidation reporting when in scope.

  • Supports production of VAT / IPT reports.

  • Performs and supports Group Intercompany booking and reconciliations.

  • Analyzes and produces ad-hoc reporting.

  • Participates to the Continuous Improvement methodology using Lean approach.

  • Supports other team members to run processes/ transitions/ harmonization processes

 

Typical Functional Skills / Experiences   

  • Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting, 
  •  2 -5 years experience in Accounting (Accounts Receivables, Procure to Pay)
  • Tax principles knowledge,
  • MS Office (Excel, Word), SAP, Excel,
  • Fluent English level – mandatory requirement (spoken and written).
