What is the Opportunity
You will do challenging work within a highly engaged and professional team focused on ensuring the FINREP returns are delivered in a timely and accurate manner. You will have the opportunity to drive improvements to the FINREP reporting process helping to ensure a robust control environment. You will also work with a wide range of senior leaders' within Group Finance.
In this role you will:
- Manage the delivery of high quality financial information for the Group and GovCo solo licenced entities to the regulatory authorities.
- Liaise with Group Financial Control teams, GSO, IFRS 9 Impairment Reporting team, Decision Science etc. to ensure timetable commitments for each reporting cycle are met, including the appropriate resolution of any issues on a timely basis.
- Build and maintain a professional working relationship with key stakeholders'.
- Become a FINREP SME by understanding the end to end FINREP process
- Play an active role in driving efficiencies and enhancing the FINREP process while ensuring documentation standards and risk management approach are fully embedded.
- Accountable for reviewing the FINREP consolidation/deconsolidation entries.
- Supporting the delivery of new/adhoc reporting requirements.
What will make you stand out
- You have an excellent knowledge of the banking sector, regulatory environment and financial/regulatory reporting.
- Your systems background particularly Excel and SAP BCS;FINREP experience is second to none.
- You have brilliant organisational skills and can handle a range of competing priorities and tight delivery timelines;
- You have strong experience in interpreting and applying reporting requirements and you thrive in a fast paced environment.
Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but is not necessary in order to apply for this role;
- Strong change management and project management capability;
- Ability to engage colleagues at a senior level;
- Proven ability to build and sustain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders;
Essential Qualifications
- Hold a Professional Qualification relevant to the role, i.e. CIMA, ACCA, ACA, with 5 years PQE.

The FINREP reporting team, currently within the Group Financial Control (GFC) Operations team is central to the successful delivery of an enhanced FINREP reporting process, whilst meeting our responsibility for reporting the Group and GovCo solo FINREP returns to various Regulators and Supervisors.
Our ambition is to consistently deliver, in a controlled, timely, and efficient manner, high quality FINREP reports which are trusted by our internal & external stakeholders, and to demonstrate regulatory reporting leadership within Bank of Ireland.
