Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be part of the Finance team supporting the full spectrum of accounts payable duties. The successful candidate will also manage 1 Accounts Payable assistant.

Description
Responsible for full spectrum of Accounts Payable duties which include:
- Ensure adherence to internal control system by reviewing accounts payable, implementing payment controls, and overseeing the entire payment process
- Record vendor invoices (trade and non-trade) accurately and timely
- Review staff expense reimbursements
- Process invoice receipt invoices parked by accounts assistant
- Check and verify the weekly payments prepared by the accounts assistant
- Ensure invoices are paid promptly
- Liaise with vendors/logistics planners regarding payments and to resolve discrepancies
- Manage the global master data, verify the completeness of supporting documents and ensure they are stored properly
- Create a weekly cashflow forecast to ensure sufficient cash reserves
- Perform daily monitoring of bank accounts to confirm availability of funds prior to making payments to vendors and inter-companies
- Ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements
- Provide support to month-end closing and prepare bank reconciliation
- Liaise with auditors to prepare necessary documents for year-end audit process
- Demonstrate leadership in the Accounts Payable department and drive improvement processes
- Other ad-hoc duties and projects
Profile
- Diploma in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience with supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel with hands-on experience in SAP accounting software is a must
- Ability to handle voluminous transactions and meet tight deadlines
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to think critically
