What is the opportunity?
This is a key role in delivering robust, insightful and proactive Credit MI on the RoI Mortgage portfolio! You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to and work closely with key collaborators within Retail Credit Risk.
This role will support the Manager to coordinate and provide challenge to the portfolio and credit policy through Credit MI analysis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the drive automation and improve the customer journey!
In this role, you will:
- Use Credit MI to monitor the mortgage portfolio, identifying potential growth opportunities or emerging risk.
- Investigate trends on specific deep dives, segment analysis, interrupt results and make recommendations.
- Development of control reports for Mortgage Underwriters.
- Maintenance and development of excel affordability calculators used in underwriting process.
- Production of accurate Credit MI in a manner suitable for the business.
What will make you stand out?
- Experience in a similar role with credit reporting or data analytics.
- Experience and knowledge of RoI Mortgage systems.
- Strong numerical, interpretative and analytical skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and provide an objective viewpoint.
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Practical experience of SAS and SQL coding.
- High standard in MS Office skills in particular the use of MS Excel and Powerpoint.
- Relevant academic qualification (level 7 or higher)

The ROI Retail Credit Risk team sits within Group Risk and our key objectives include providing oversight and challenge to credit policy, risk mitigation strategies in the context of supporting the growth agenda within risk appetite. We evaluate risk recovery strategies, ensuring Regulatory changes are reflected in our policies, procedures and appropriately reported.
We work to drive the optimisation of credit efficiency through simplification and risk models.
Using Credit MI to critically assess portfolio trends, we identify evidence of emerging risk deterioration and/or opportunities for growth.
This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration, exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
