Based in the Finance Change Team the role will work with all key Change and Business stakeholders with Finance and across the Change Portfolios.

Who are we?

We are the UK's largest long-term savings and retirement business with c.13 million customers and c.£310 billion of assets under administration. As a market leader and FTSE 100 organisation, we understand that our scale and expertise means that we have a key role to play for our customers, colleagues and our communities to help as many people as possible secure a life of possibilities. We are tackling key environmental and social issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050 - but we're not done yet.
We've seen huge growth and change, and this means there is enormous opportunity for our 8,000 colleagues to grow alongside us.

The role

As Senior Finance Change Governance manager, you will lead on delivering a robust E2E Finance Change Governance framework to support the delivery of all change initiatives impacting the Finance operating model. You will manage the E2E operations of the framework, ensuring it is fit for purpose in meeting risks and control standards, and that it adapts and evolves to meet the Finance Operating model needs along with the evolution of change delivery at Phoenix.

You will take a prominent leadership role, building and leading the Finance Change Governance Team. Working closely with senior stakeholders across both Finance and all Change Portfolios, you will play a key role in supporting Phoenix's strategic objectives to ensure significant organic growth is achieved in a controlled manner and in accordance to robust governance. As a Senior Finance Change Governance Manager, you will also lead other internal and external Governance Leads and Analysts and support the development of aligned internal colleagues.

Leading a new team in Finance Change, you will have the opportunity to help shape how it operates and interacts with both the Business and Change teams.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced risk and governance professional with specific knowledge and experience of Finance Change governance processes and Finance operating models. You will have a strong track record of delivery in a commercial environment, of developing and evolving governance processes and be someone who is keen to learn quickly in a changing environment.

You will have an ability to build strong relationships and drive action through influence and leadership across boundaries, combined with experience and ability to influence and communicate effectively with executives at the business leadership level, as well as with SMEs across the business.

Knowledge of the Finance operational model including systems, processes and stakeholders is highly desirable, as is a firm understanding of the Finance Change governance life cycle from impact assessment, through requirements, design, build, test, release and business acceptance.

As a Senior Leader in our business, development of our team is also critical, therefore experience leading teams and individuals - both directly and in matrix environments - while also helping them develop to achieve their potential is also very important for this role.

Why choose us?

Bring your 'whole self', skills and dedication to the Phoenix Group and we'll recognise your effort, support your development and help to drive your ambition. We'll ensure you're rewarded for your contribution with a competitive package that includes an attractive pension, annual bonus potential, private medical insurance, generous holiday entitlement, enhanced maternity and adoption leave and a range of other financial services and lifestyle flexible benefits.

Sound good? If you are ready to help us make Phoenix the best place you've ever worked, we'd love to hear from you
