Role: Finance Associate – Oracle Reporting
Purpose of role: The Oracle Transition team are responsible for the management of embedding new systems across the Finance team and ensuring that the transition to the inventory valuation method is implemented as efficiently as possible. The Oracle Transition team work closely with the Business as Usual teams to ensure all aspect of the transition are dealt with in an efficient manner.
Reports to: Finance Manager – Oracle Reporting

Purpose of role: The Oracle Transition team are responsible for the management of embedding new systems across the Finance team and ensuring that the transition to the inventory valuation method is implemented as efficiently as possible. The Oracle Transition team work closely with the Business as Usual teams to ensure all aspect of the transition are dealt with in an efficient manner.
Reports to: Finance Manager – Oracle Reporting
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the transition to new accounting policies for the Primark Group and working with the Oracle Transition team to achieve deadlines in tight timelines.
- Supporting in a number of accounting sub-projects that will run in parallel with the transition to new accounting policies.
- Supporting the Inventory Accounting team in its BAU functions to gain exposure into how Primark operates.
- Working with the Inventory Accounting team on the preparation of stock counts and subsequently the financial journals for Team Lead’s review for the reclaim and write-off of any financial losses related to missing stock.
- Performance of Invoice Matching Discrepancies & Return to Vendor process work including the preparation of financial journals.
- Monitor and manage Stock Reconciliations inbox to ensure all inbound stock queries are resolved in a timely manner.
- An understanding of systems such as IPMS and Oracle is desirable.
- Previous experience managing stock reconciliations desirable
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong engagement skills, with proven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to multi-task, willingness to learn other roles and perform back-up where required.
- Fluency in the English language is essential.
- Process oriented.
