Finance Associate – Direct Taxes
As a Finance Associate you will support with tax compliance within the Primark Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing team. This opportunity is based in our Global Head Office in Dublin City Centre.

As a Finance Associate you will support with tax compliance within the Primark Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing team. This opportunity is based in our Global Head Office in Dublin City Centre.
What the role involves?
- Ensuring direct tax payments/(refunds) are paid/(received) in a timely manner
- Posting and reconciliation of tax journals
- Assisting with ABF reporting (period-end accruals and cashflow reporting, and quarterly direct tax and transfer pricing forecasting)
- Assisting with tax compliance (e.g., tax computations for provisioning in accounts, and tax returns). This would include review of accounting and underlying supporting documents (invoices/contracts) to establish tax treatment of same (e.g. tax deductibility of expenses etc).
- Supporting in responding to tax queries from external auditor as part of group and local audits
- Assisting with collating of information requested as part of tax audits
- Completing tax checks as part of wider supplier setup process
- Supporting the direct tax team with processing of purchase orders and tracking of third-party professional fees against budget
- Establish and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders of the tax team
- Working closely with the direct tax team to identify opportunities for process efficiencies
- Participation in projects, testing of new functionality on systems and validation of data etc
- Any additional ad-hoc requirements to support the direct tax team
- An interest in, or be already working in Accounting or Tax function
- Strong planning and organisation skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise work schedule and work within agreed timescales
- A flexible approach to work and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with strong financial and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills with excellent English (both oral and written) and additional language an advantage
- IT skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are essential
