We have a really unique opportunity to join our growing Yorkshire based team to work as a Valuations Technical Accounting Assistant Manager. Your focus will be primarily on purchase price allocations and helping businesses that have recently been acquired or acquired another business. As part of the broader technical accounting role you will also focus on the complex aspects of accounting such as IFRS conversions, implementation of new standards, flotation support work and valuations of share based payments and intangible assets.
As part of your role you will work closely alongside the Valuations and Technical Accounting manager, preparing workings and reports for their review and liaising directly with the client to obtain information and help determine a solution that works for them and their auditors.
No two days or projects are the same Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to performing valuations work and acquisition accounting, leading IFRS conversions on behalf of clients and drafting responses to technical accounting queries from clients, . This is an opportunity to genuinely stand out from the norm. As well as providing support to your clients from an accounting perspective, you will also be managing and developing more junior team members to guide their journey.
You will ideally be at least a year post ACCA/ ACA qualified accountant, with experience of auditing or preparing purchase price allocations as well as aa breadth of knowledge on complex accounting queries. You will have a strong attention to detail and be comfortable rectifying queries as soon as they are brought to your attention. You will be happy to be very hands on. You will be responsible, alongside the senior team for mentorship of the wider team, providing them with soft skills and technical knowledge development. You will take the lead on client relationships and be responsible for excellent client service. You will also look to actively link with other service lines to deliver client projects.
