About the Role:

The position of Finance Business Continuity and Resilience Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting global workstreams including development and testing of Finance Division Business Continuity Plans, Incident and Crisis Management, Regulatory Analysis and MI Reporting.

This role will reside within the Finance Division, under the Finance Risk and Assurance function. The Finance Risk agenda includes, but is not limited to, Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Operational Risk Governance, Reporting & Metrics, Business Continuity Planning, Information Security, Supplier Risk and Fraud Risk. Team members require an understanding of operational risk concept and control frameworks, an ability to interpret relevant policies and regulations and to coordinate governance activities across the division. This dynamic position offers the candidate an exceptional opportunity to gain exposure and learn various processes across the Finance division.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support in coordinating, developing, testing, and communicating continuity plans for all functional areas under Finance.
  • Act as a Crisis Manager providing support during response to regional and global crisis events that could impact Finance and its 4Ps (People, Processes, Premises, 3rd Parties), escalating and managing incidents in coordination with Firm stakeholders and Finance Management where necessary.
  • Maintain direct communications and participate in appropriate business unit planning meetings, forums, and activities.
  • Assist the department in enhancing, formalizing, and standardizing the business planning process.
  • Provide expertise and support to management and business functional areas, as requested.
  • Perform ongoing risk analysis to determine which business processes, systems, and applications need to be recovered within the indicated time frame to comply with corporate and regulatory recovery time objectives of the organization.
  • Assist with risk assessments and due diligence efforts pertaining to critical suppliers and 3rd party vendors.
  • Monitor and respond to Regulatory requests.

Qualifications

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Previous experience in business continuity, crisis management or related field.
  • Sound understanding of operational risk concepts and frameworks.
  • Ability to collaborate and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders across Finance and other divisions.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables.
  • Committed and self-motivated individual who can demonstrate initiative and critical thinking to challenge processes, solve for ad hoc queries and creativity to suggest alternative approaches.
  • Analytical skills with a control focus and high regard for attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
