We have an excellent opportunity for an Accountant to join our Open Interface team to support new product launches in the Open business team. This is a great opportunity to join a unique team during a period of significant change, and to be involved in a number of new product launches led by our open business function.
Salary: Up to £58,000 plus bonus 16% to 32%, 38 days holiday, excellent pension.

Following the successful product launch this role will then be responsible for ensuring efficient processes and robust controls are developed in the Finance Operations area.
This is a great opportunity to join a unique team within Life Finance during a period of significant change, and to be involved in a number of new product launches led by our open business function.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Accountant to produce and review analytical review for allocated areas
- Ensure all allocated Trial Balances are reviewed and issues resolved or escalated in a timely manner
- Liaise closely with and provide reporting that measures the performance of third parties
- Assist in instilling a continuous process improvement approach in the team
- Establish the root causes where issues arise and ensure causes are resolved
- Produce policy related accruals and prepayments, and ad hoc reporting
- Ensure that all suspense is effectively reported to the correct business areas on a timely basis
- Liaise with and support the Financial Reporting team
- Identify and provide training for the team on an as-required basis
- Assist in the preparation of the half-year and year-end regulatory returns
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with knowledge of finance operational and reporting processes
- Technical skills and knowledge of accounting and reporting processes in a financial services organisation (preferably, a life insurer)
- Stakeholder management, including influencing senior business leaders
- Drive relationships and have strong experience of influencing and negotiating with others
- Strong facilitation skills
