QAIR (Mauritius) is the leading pure renewable energy IPP in Mauritius with three power plants in operation for a total of 35MW.

Job Title: Accountant

Qualification/ Experience/ Skills

• At least ACCA Level 2 completed
• At least 3 years experience in a similar role
• Good knowledge of IFRS
• Sound knowledge of Accounting software (Experience with ERP would be an advantage)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work in autonomy
• Good communication skills (Verbal and written) – English and French
• Strong excel skills

Job description

• Preparation of monthly/ quarterly and yearly accounting reports accordingly Group deadlines
• Preparation and submission of statutory returns and fillings
• Proper monitoring of Debtors and Creditors and ensure timely settlement of all invoices
• Coaching of junior staff
• Assist auditors in yearly audits
• Monthly reconciliation of Intercompany balances
• Review and process prepayments and accruals on a quarterly basis
• Preparation of Bank Reconciliation statements
• Ensure Accounting records are accurate and up to date and in compliance with internal policies and procedures
• Perform administrative duties as required by management
