Commercial Finance Manager

What will you be doing?

This role is responsible for the consolidated financial reporting & planning for UK Business segment P&L acting as key support to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager for month end, budgeting, monthly rolling forecasts, and financial & business performance reviews. This role is an outstanding opportunity for a high calibre, commercially minded finance manager to gain a broad understanding of the UK Business P&L and to work cross functionally across the wider UK Finance Team. The candidate will be highly numerate, display strong analytical and presentational skills and be able to communicate confidently to senior management.

Key accountabilities include

• Performance Management and Reporting: The Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for consolidating the monthly financial performance across all the UK Business segments, and together with the Senior Commercial Finance Manager present a clear and concise analysis on performance vs budget to be communicated effectively to Senior Finance leaders in month end reviews, and to communicate onwards to Business leaders.
• Financial Analysis & Insight: The Commercial Finance Manager will need to understand the financial performance and current trends for mobile and fixed across all Business segments. On a monthly basis, key insight will be provided to the business, which explains current performance and identifies any potential risk & opportunity in a rolling outlook. Role should also ensure key KPI's are fully understood.
• Financial Planning: In this role, the Commercial Finance Manager will take the lead on the consolidated financial planning activities for Vodafone Business Finance which include managing the monthly rolling forecast cycle with strong interlock with FP&A, ownership and integrity of the central planning models ensuring they are aligned to segments, and supporting on key consolidation and reporting activities during the planning cycles
• Financial & Business Performance Reviews: Support to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager and Head of Business Finance on monthly and quarterly presentations, including monthly operational reviews, Group Financial reviews, planning and forecast reviews
• Data consolidation and reporting: The role requires an ability to collect and consolidate data in an efficient and structured way, with constant need to continuously streamline data input to provide insightful reporting that can be used in performance reviews and forecasting cycles
• Business Collaboration: The success of this role is dependent on strong collaboration across multiple teams. A strong individual will ensure the multiple functions are aligned on their objectives and ensuring they are all working together. This role consistently requires information and output from Business Finance, FP&A & Financial Operations

Who are we looking for?

• Broad range of Commercial Finance roles with evidence of supporting commercial analysis
• Ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
• Comfortable operating at speed with multiple priorities and short deadlines
• Able to prioritise, multi-task and be comfortable with a changing environment
