As an assistant accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting team with daily tasks such as bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, and processing invoices. Description
- Monthly reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts for all entities
- Assist in preparation and posting of journals.
- Fixed assets accounting (acquisition, depreciation and disposal).
- Reconciling of all company bank reconciliations.
- Provide accounting support to the Financial Accountant & Finance Manager as required.
- Accounts payable/payroll support
- Support with all compliance information such as BAS, payroll tax, superannuation, ATO reporting, long service leave, etc.
- Manage all new plant information acquired within FerrycarrigFerrycarrig and regular updating of plant repayment spreadsheet.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- CPA/ CA qualifications (or working towards)
