Finance Business Partner

Based in Buckingham on campus, this role will play a fundamental part in bridging the gap between both finance and the rest of the organisation. Working with stakeholders across the university, you will ensure that finance runs seamlessly whilst providing insight and expertise to non-finance stakeholders & departments throughout the organisation.

Description

Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner include:

• Business partnering with faculty heads and departments, driving communication & reports
• Aiding on driving collaboration across both finance & the entire organisation, giving training on financial processes where needed to enhance how finance operates
• Building effective relationships with non-finance budget holders, giving support on systems, processes, regulations and compliance and ensuring information delivery
• Responsibility for the production & distribution of management accounting information to stakeholders
• Managing budgeting & forecasting process
• Producing analysis & research, both for finance & with non-finance stakeholders
• Creating plans, models and analysis for stakeholders , with focus on budgeting & forecasting
• Assisting in creation of tools to produce forecasts, budgets & projections
• Providing commentary on monthly management accounts, income & expenditure statements, balance sheets & cashflow, with analysis
• Performing critical evaluation of business cases, including introductions of new programmes, courses & expansion projects
• Providing expertise on new projects through research, analysis & evaluation to aid in decision making across the business
• Working with non-finance department heads on new proposals from a financial perspective

Profile

The successful Finance Business Partner will be:

• Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) or qualified by experience
• Experienced working within FP&A or Business Partnering
• Great communicator that can build relationships at all levels
• Someone that wants to continue their professional development & add value
• Someone that thinks strategically, questioning everything
