CFO / Managing Director Marktfolge (f/m/d) DACH Region

As a CFO you lead the financial team (20+) that works together to provide first class support to business decision-making by offering sound strategic financial advice that is aligned with the country’s and DLL’s business objectives, while ensuring the in-control state of all business entities in the country. You act as a key member of the management team, working with divisional and business unit finance leaders, the finance and control department and other relevant stakeholders of the DLL Group.

Depending on your individual knowledge, skills and suitability you could be selected for the Managing Director position “Marktfolge” covering all areas in this domain.

DAY TO DAY:

  • Leads and manages the country finance function with its vendor finance portfolio within corporate and departmental standards.
  • Ensures compliance with internal and external policies and laws, including local tax and accounting laws, financial, control, tax and treasury policies of DLL
  • Supports mergers, acquisitions, divestments as well as other key business decisions and focuses on performance gaps and opportunities.
  • Leads the finance- and tax team and links the performance targets of the finance function directly to business performance.
  • Critically monitors company performance and annual plans against budgets and forecasts and competitor performance.
  • Proactively contributes to the formulation of the country organisation's strategy and business plan, supporting it with financial forecasts and implementing plans for own department.
  • First point of contact for external auditors as well as for the tax authorities.
  • Responsible for managing the financial month-end close, including reporting to the parent company, in accordance with all legal reporting-, tax- and regulatory requirements.
  • As Managing Director Marktfolge, you would be responsible for all financial items in the region

ESSENTIALS:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Accounting, and/or Controlling.
  • 10+ years’ leadership experience gained in the financial domain of a customer driven international financial service organization is a must
  • Experience gained as auditor / CPA / Wirtschaftsprüfer in a Big4 will be regarded as a “big plus”
  • Experience in a leadership role with the ability to energize diverse and inclusive teams as well as to connect the different Business functions.
  • As an authentic leader you have the ability to show empathy as well as the ability to further mature the professional staff in your team. You recognize you are „one of the team“
  • Solid knowledge of local statutory requirements and International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”), as well Regulatory Reporting and ‘In Control over Financial Reporting’/COSO.
  • Excellent analytical skills, influencing skills, initiative, assertiveness, and decisiveness
  • Good networking and relationship building skills to be applied both within the DLL German operations as well as globally with our Global Business Units and Head Quarter functions
  • Competence in change management and able to translate necessary changes into operational and tactical plans and prepared to be „hands-on“ in the operations when required
  • Able to think in end-to-end processes, beyond the boundaries of the own department and able to drive efficiency and quality improvements in the Company’s processes
  • Spoken and written fluency of German and English is crucial
