Who are we?

We want to be the best place that any of our 8,000 colleagues have ever worked.

We're the UK's largest long-term savings and retirement business. We offer our 13 million customers products across our market-leading brands, including Standard Life, SunLife and ReAssure, with c.£310 billion of assets under administration. We're a FTSE 100 organisation that is tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050, and we're not done yet.

The role

You will be responsible to set up and run the Milliman MG-ALFA cloud model, to support the development of robust and effective financial reporting across various projects, including balancing competing priorities as required. After receiving the relevant inputs from teams across the department, you will upload them in the cloud environment and use them to set up the model run as required by the different projects. You will then be responsible for handing over the results to the validation and review actuaries. Throughout, you will be expected to operate within strict timescales and work in compliance with prescribed control standards including ensuring appropriate audit trails are maintained.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has some understanding of actuarial processes and ideally some actuarial modelling experience. You should be able to follow processes but also apply your knowledge and own thinking. You should be able to communicate clearly and effectively ideas, information, plans and opinions to internal and external stakeholders. You should be able to apply checking, reporting and auditing principles, and monitor systems and services in order to identify risks.

We want to hire the whole version of you.

We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we've advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we'd love to hear from you.

If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.
