Location and flexible working: Wythall, Birmingham (Hybrid working)

This role is based in our Wythall office with working approximately half of the time per week at home. We recognise the benefits of flexible working and will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process.

The role

The Actuarial Technician will support the team in monitoring, managing and reporting the liquidity positions in the Phoenix Group Life companies.

This role will involve close collaboration with a wide range of teams and colleagues across the whole Group and offers growth, stretch and responsibility to the right individual to really make a difference at the Phoenix Group.
One of the key responsibilities of the role is to ensure timely and accurate production of the MI on the liquidity positions. This will include analysing the outputs from the model and producing MI packs. The MI production needs to be compliant with the relevant framework and maintain evidence/audit trail as required.

There is a responsibility to continually look to enhance processes and procedures to deliver to the quality and timescales required by key stakeholders around the business. There are opportunities to get involved in project work and other tasks such as stress testing to support the development of robust and effective financial reporting.
What are we looking for?

Essential:

- You have working experience or knowledge in the financial service sector
- You must have proven ability to adapt and make quick decisions when faced with unexpected challenges
- You have proven track record of delivering work to a good standard and in a timely manner

Desirable:

- You have working experience in standardised reporting processes
- You are able to manage a range of stakeholders
- You have some understanding of the Solvency II reporting and liquidity management
