About the role

St Elizabeth's is a charitable organisation that supports children and young people with severe epilepsy and other complex medical conditions and learning disabilities. We provide support through holistic care, health and education services in a safe environment that enables vulnerable people to maximise their personal potential in all areas of life. We are seeking a Finance Director who will provide authoritative and professional operational leadership to the finance and IT functions. Working with the Trustees, the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team, the Finance Director will support the refinement and implementation of the strategy for St Elizabeth's, providing specialist financial advice, enabling the charity to fulfil its mission in a cost effective, financially sustainable manner and deploying wider analytical, communication and commercial skills to help set the organisation's future direction.

About You

You will have a recognised full accounting qualification, previous experience at Finance Director level or similar in a comparable organisation - whether charitable, public or private in nature. You will have excellent leadership skills and experience of managing a team, and involvement in the oversight of an IT function. You will be a value-driven professional, able to exhibit a strong commercial nous but at the same time, willingness, and commitment to support the ethos and values of St. Elizabeth's.

Location

We are located in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire and are in easy reach of the M25, M11 and A10, although we are not on a public transport route.
