What will you learn?

The Big Picture - Audit at KPMG

In this task, you will hear from an Audit Senior Associate at KPMG on the purpose of an external audit.

The Audit Planning Process

You will assist in audit planning by determining the materiality of general ledger accounts. This materiality will help assess which accounts and assertions will be tested in the course of the financial statement audit.

Audit procedures - Accounts Receivable

As a first year associate, you play a key role in performing audit testing. In this task, you will assist in auditing accounts receivable by preparing, sending, and evaluating the results of confirmations sent to third parties.

Communicating with Your Client

You’ve got the preliminary results from the confirmations mailed to third party customers. Time to update the client!

Walk Through of Client's Process

Let's focus on reviewing the client's order-to-cash (OTC) process, which includes the accounts receivable function and its internal controls.

Prepare and Present Your Findings

You’ve done the hard work and are now ready to present your findings to Ashbourne Industries Inc management.
