Company Accountant - West Cork Our client is looking to speak to qualified accountants who are ideally West Cork based and eager to secure a permanent job opportunity. The business operate in the construction industry. This role involves working closely with the Financial Controller and Company Directors and indirectly guiding and supporting support service staff and general engagement with all facets of the business to gain a holistic understanding of business operations. This is a succession role to Financial Controller and thus will require someone to have the energy, drive and ambition for such. Some of the key responsibilities and requirements are as follows: Responsibilities: perform daily finance related activities and process the month end management accounts process ensure timely and accurate P&L accounts and Balance Sheet review, budgeting, cashflow and associated commentary for Director support and business review ensure that adequate systems and processes are in place ensuring timely issue of financial reports providing advice and analysis on the financial consequences of business decisions to evaluate options for business operations and/or capital investment decisions. implement further efficiencies around KPI analysis and review review the Payroll, AP and AR functions and general regulatory compliance functions in conjunction with the companies registered accountants Take charge in driving reporting and compliance efficiencies in areas such as; Revenue Reporting, Pension management, Fixed Asset record management, RCT returns and related contractors' issues. Manage the annual external audit with professional services providers Requirements: Qualified Accountant Familiarity with finance function in an SME environment Attention to detail Good communication skills Ability to work with finance and non-finance co-workers.
