Hedge Fund Accounting and Valuation Specialist

The Warsaw office was established in 2008 and comprises two business lines: a dynamically growing International Operations Centre (SSC) providing asset and fund services for a number of locations across Europe and local custody & clearing business offering broker-dealers, global  custodians and investment banks a full local clearing, settlement and custody solution in Poland. 

For our Securities Services business line which is an exciting, dynamic and growing operation center in Warsaw we are looking for candidates who are willing to be a vital part of the expansion in BNP Paribas’ operational scope in Poland.

Your responsibilities will include:

As a member of NAV team you will be responsible for end-to-end NAV calculation and control of hedge funds which includes:

• Reconciliation of cash, securities and derivatives positions
• Investigating and resolving of complex process discrepancies
• Booking portfolio trades and capital activities
• Control of fund expenses and corporate events
• Valuation of funds’ assets
• Acting as a point of contact for the oversight and business partners.

Requirements for beginners:

• General knowledge about accounting principles/financial instruments/capital markets
• English on advanced level
• Good MS Office knowledge
• Accuracy and strong attention to details
• Eager to learn
• Highly motivated and engaged team player

Requirements for experienced individuals:

• University degree, preferred Finance and Accounting, Economics or similar
• Experience in fund services industry or similar areas (experience in NAV calculation is a strong asset)
• Deep understanding of various types of investments and bookkeeping principles
• Fluent English
• Very good MS Office knowledge (especially MS Excel)
• Reliability and confidence in contact with external parties
• Solid communication skills
• Strong attention to details and ability to perform in depths analyses of accounting discrepancies
• Highly motivated and engaged team player
