External reporting

• Oversee the period end consolidation process
• Manage the preparation and delivery of our monthly and quarterly reporting to the ultimate parent company
• Manage the preparation and delivery of the consolidated group financial statements
• Manage the delivery of the group audit, acting as a key point of contact for the auditors
• Provide technical accounting conclusions and papers as required to the Group FC, CFO and external auditors
• Delivery or review of financial models including goodwill, intangibles and investments
• Overall responsibility for IFRS 16 accounting
• Improve the external reporting process through enhanced used of the new consolidation system
• Support as required the corporate finance team with the delivery of subsidiary accounts
• Provide guidance to and coach Financial Accountant
• Accounting for one-off M&A transactions
• Provide cover to Financial Accountants as required with various periodic workstreams such as running the period end consolidation process and providing flash management reporting
• Assist and deputise for Senior Finance Manager - External reporting with reviews of output from Financial Accountants
• Identify and implement process improvement where relevant

Profile

• Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA
• Practice background is preferable but not mandatory
• Strong technical knowledge and experience of IFRS
• Proven ability to draw robust technical conclusions on judgemental accounting areas

Job Offer

£60,000 - £68,000 plus 10% bonus and hybrid/flexible working
