Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
• Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
• Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
• Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
• Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
• Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
• Assisting with the scheduling of fieldwork and booking of staff
• Assisting with the planning of stock counts and briefing of staff and notifying other managers
• Facilitation of and attendance at planning meetings with client
• Discussion of prior year issues and current year planning points with manager/partner
• Discussion of audit approach
• On the job training of staff & leadership of assignment team
• Delivery of progress/status reports to team manager/engagement leader
• Keeping abreast of industry/client developments

• Strong IT skills are essential

Minimum years experience required

• Applicants must have been trained at a major accounting firm and should be qualified accountants possessing a professional designation (ACA, ACCA, or CPA)
• Candidates should have obtained between 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience, which includes 1 to 2 years of experience as an Audit Senior in a professional services firm

Bachelor Degree - Accounting & Finance

Certifications

• Global: Associate Chartered Accountants (ACA) - Chartered Accountants (preferred),
• Global: Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) - Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) (preferred),
• Global: ACCA - Exam Qualified - ACCA (preferred),
• Global: Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified General Accountant (CPA, CGA) - Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) (preferred)
