We're a FTSE 100 organisation that is tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050, and we're not done yet.
The role is responsible for performing and reviewing daily banking and cash management activities, monitoring liquidity positions, performing funding forecasts and processing payments to support corporate and policyholder cash flows.

- Daily funding responsibilities include the monitoring of bank account liquidity levels to ensure balance positions are within acceptable limits, identifying and forecasting funding requirements and processing the appropriate corresponding cash movements within deadlines.
- Ensuring that high value corporate payments are processed accurately, within deadlines, are authorised appropriately in line with internal governance and the associated supporting documentation and journal postings to the general ledger are in order.
- Communicating effectively with key stakeholders - other business teams within Phoenix, outsource partners who support the business and the banks - to successfully perform daily funding and the processing of payments.
- Ensuring timely resolution of payment queries, outstanding reconciliation items and other operational issues, making, where necessary any small process and control improvements to prevent future re-occurrence.
- Providing analysis of Treasury operations on a monthly basis, being responsible for the production of Treasury oversight MI. Analysing data received from outsourcers, ensuring accuracy and providing challenge and feedback on data integrity where necessary.
- Ensure strict adherence to Treasury timetables to meet the month-end and quarter-end process deadlines, resolving or escalating as appropriate any issues which may arise.
